Chestnut Ridge Park and Campground was founded by Reverend Alfred Lee Klaer in 1937 as a summer camp for the youth of depression-hit coal camps. Today it is operated by the Monongalia County Commission as a local and regional destination for visitors interested in outdoor recreation.

The park proudly offers 7 cabins, 20 RV sites, 41 tent sites, 3 pavilions, 2 fishing ponds, and 2 playgrounds. It is open year round with various activities and events for all ages, call today to make a reservation or ask for additional information.
